Jim McIntyre- Weekday Mornings 5:30-9am

News Director Jim McIntyre delivers news and information to WDOK listeners every weekday morning, from 5:30 to 9:00. Jim often provides the answers to even the most obscure questions on the Morning Show, with Trapper Jack and Terry Moir. That's why Trapper dubbed him “Infoman.” He also hosts “Cleveland Connection,” a public affairs program which airs every Sunday morning at 7:00am. One of his favorite guests was Paul McCartney. In fact, if you watch closely, you can see Jim briefly, interviewing the former Beatle on his concert DVD, “Back in the USA, 2002.”

Jim has worked on radio and TV in Cleveland since 1984, winning various journalism honors, including “Best Newscaster” awarded by the Achievement In Radio awards competition. He has served as President of the Cleveland chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, on the Executive Board of the Boy Scouts of America in Cleveland, and is an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Cleveland.

Jim grew up in Lakewood, and graduated from Lakewood High School and Kent State University. He currently lives in Fairview Park with his wife Marge. They have an adult son (Matt) who often visits. Jim is an avid reader and a runner, but has yet to master both activities simultaneously. “Stupid trees,” he says.
