Tommy Livingston is just back from Iwo Jima, one of only 225 Americans allowed on the island this year for the annual commemoration of the infamous battle of World War II.  His father fought with the Marines there, and he wanted to take part in the ceremonies during this, the 65th anniversary of the battle.  www.iwojima.com

The Cleveland International Film Festival begins this week, with more than 150 full-length feature films and 150 shorts featured.  Artistic Director Bill Guentzler watched more than 600 movies, and attended 10 other festivals to pick the cream of the crop for the CIFF. www.clevelandfilm.org
