House of Crafts- Bracelets of Strength

BRACELETS OF STRENGTH

Am I the only crafter out there who's never heard of this memory wire?  This stuff is great!  It molds right to your wrist.   I made Robin a necklace for her birthday!  Just make sure if you are making a necklace to get the memory wire for necklaces.   We'll teach you how to make these "bracelets of strength" at the  Walk for Stronger Bones event on May 19th at the Independence Rec Center
http://www.walkforstrongerbones.com/   You can also check out the video of my nieces and me making them at home!

You'll need:

  • memory wire for bracelets
  • beads,,,we chose bone or off white colored beads and light purple beads for the colors of the event.  We also added some silver spacers for accent...Pat Catan's has a whole section of different kinds of beads!
  • wire cutters
  • needle nose pliers
  • When you are done beading, simply turn in the other end and it's ready!

Cut wire to fit your wrist.  With the needle nose pliers, simply turn in one end to hold the beads as you thread them.  There's no right or wrong way to make these and it's a great craft for the kids.  It's easy and doesn't take that long.
